MEZE Point

MEZE Point
Mikonkatu 8 Helsinki

Located in the very centre of Helsinki, close to the railway station, this is the ideal place for "healthy meal", as it's written on the door.

The place looks nice, several small and some bigger tables, colourfull place with some sofa instead of chairs at some tables. Maybe the place could look much more oriental, but still the service is very good and the music (not too loud) fits perfectly with the food.

About the meal. The Meze plate for 11,50€ is a very good way to try different specialities from the taboulé to humus... the plate is a vegetarian meal. I was a bit disapointed by the fried goat cheese which didn't taste that much. But it was very nice, a plate of 9 differents Meze.
As the meal was good, the dessert was welcome. Warm chocolate cake and vanilla icecream. Not that original but very good, a small chocolate cake with melted chocolate inside covered by vanilla icecream and a bit strawberry jam.

About the drinks, wine is not that expansive for a Finnish restaurant. Even if there is not that large choice, the Merlot and the Syrah are good.

So this place is perfect for a different and a nice dinner. Close enough to the centre and you can easily reach some bars after, if you feel like that.

I give 4/5 for the rate quality/service/price/taste
